This Refund and Cancellation Policy (“Policy”) governs the terms under which Lifeguardix processes refunds, cancellations, transfers, and rescheduling requests for its training programs, including but not limited to lifeguarding, first aid, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certifications (collectively, the “Courses”). By registering for any Course offered by Lifeguardix, you (“Registrant”) acknowledge and agree to be legally bound by this Policy in full.

1. All Sales Final – No Guarantee of Refund

All Course registration fees are strictly non-refundable once payment has been processed and registration has been confirmed. This policy remains in effect regardless of circumstances beyond the control of either party. Refunds will not be granted under the following conditions, which include but are not limited to:

• Personal scheduling conflicts or time management issues

• Failure to attend or complete the Course for any reason

• Voluntary withdrawal from the Course

• Dissatisfaction with course content, delivery, or instructor

• Failure to meet prerequisites, participation requirements, or evaluation standards

• Travel interruptions, transportation delays, or adverse weather

• Changes in employment or personal commitments

• Medical issues or emergencies without verifiable supporting documentation

• Any other circumstance not explicitly addressed under Section 2

Lifeguardix retains the sole and exclusive authority to interpret this Policy and make final determinations regarding its application.

2. Exceptions – Lifeguardix-Initiated Course Alterations

If Lifeguardix cancels, postpones, or significantly modifies a Course due to unforeseen circumstances—including but not limited to instructor illness, facility conflicts, or insufficient enrollment—the following remedies will be offered:

a. Full Refund:
A full refund of the original Course fee will be issued to the original payment method within ten (10) business days of written cancellation notification.

b. Complimentary Transfer:
At the Registrant’s request, their registration may be transferred at no additional cost to an equivalent future Course, subject to availability.

No administrative fees shall apply in such cases.

3. Medical Exception – Credit-Only Option

If the Registrant is unable to attend due to a verifiable medical emergency, a Course credit may be issued, provided that all of the following conditions are met:

• The Registrant notifies Lifeguardix in writing and provides supporting medical documentation no later than 168 hours (7 days) before the Course start time.

• If hospitalization exceeds 7 days, exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. Contact [email protected] for additional consideration.

• Documentation must clearly indicate that the Registrant is medically unable to attend.

Approval of credits is at the sole discretion of Lifeguardix and may require additional verification. Approved credits are valid for six (6) months from the original Course date and are non-transferable.

4. Transfer and Rescheduling Requests

Registrant-initiated transfer or rescheduling requests must:

• Be submitted in writing at least seven (7) calendar days prior to the scheduled Course start date.

• Be accompanied by a non-refundable $40 administrative processing fee.

• Be approved based on course capacity and administrative discretion.

Only one transfer per Registrant is permitted. Requests made within seven (7) days of the Course start date will not be accommodated under any circumstances.

5. No-Show and Late Arrival Policy

Any Registrant who fails to attend their scheduled Course or arrives after the published start time may be denied entry and forfeit all fees paid. Lifeguardix enforces a zero-tolerance policy for late arrivals unless prior arrangements have been approved in writing.

6. Force Majeure

Lifeguardix shall not be held liable for any delay, cancellation, or disruption of Course delivery due to causes beyond its reasonable control. These may include, but are not limited to: natural disasters, government actions, facility shutdowns, labor disputes, civil unrest, pandemics, or other force majeure events.

7. Amendments and Policy Updates

Lifeguardix reserves the right to update, modify, or amend this Policy at any time without prior notice. The most current version will always be published on the Lifeguardix website and will take immediate effect upon posting. It is the responsibility of each Registrant to review the Policy prior to registration.
